If you take the opinion of over 99% of pianists ... and 99% of major concert halls in the whole world, they will all answer 'yes'. For them, the industry standard is to perform on a good piano .. and they will only perform if it's a Steinway, and no other piano will do ...
There will always the odd-ball 1% that prefer something less desirable, but they, like the person above ... will be out sitting on a branch on their own. Listen to the experts, and listen to their opinion .... and you will end up listening to the best piano.
In Europe ... they build Bosendorfer, Fazioli and Bechstein pianos ... and whilst nice pianos ... none of these pianos have made it, in any great numbers to major concert halls in the world, even when these brands are cheaper ... as they would not be accepted by the experts. Check out http://www.steinway.com/artists and look at the 1,600 artists that endorse what they regard as 'the best piano in the world'.
Are Steinway's the best ? I don't think we need to answer that.
In newer Steinways, it is located on the plate, where the treble strings cross the base strings. In older Steinways, it may not be there at all, but the serial number will be in the same location.
Ah, well, that depends on if you are buying new. ^.^; New, steinways are about 135,000 dollars.. if you are buying used... Then that depends.. Some older steinways could be much more. Steinways have APPRECIATING values, instead of depreciating values, so as the get older, they tend to raise in value.. Really, they are the best(IMHO) piano's you could buy. There are even articles about investing in Steinway pianos instead of stocks, as they grow in value. I know there are mixed reviews on this though.. Some sources on the net say they do depreciate. (On one forum, based on Larry Fines piano book) Says that a 20 year old Steinway in "better" condition is 68,000$.. So yeah, I hope that I helped in some way. ;)
Most professional players agree that a Steinway grand piano has the best sound of any piano. Steinways are largly considered to be the epitamy of pianos.AnswerWell...except for the people playing the other "epitome" pianos. A Steinway has a rich sound.
The Best of Luther Vandross... The Best of Love was created in 1979.
not the best but one of the best

Because Steinways are expensive and top of the line pieces, one must look for a few things when purchasing. First, make sure there is no physical damage to any part of the instument. Dings and bumps are no good in this type of investment. Second, observe the legs, make sure they are all even. Finally, play it and listen to the sound. If its a sound you love, you know it is the right one for you.
IM THE BEST IM THE BEST IM THE BEST IM THE BEST IM THE BEST
There is a few actually as follows below George Best, Clyde Best, John Best, Leon Best, and Robbie Best
This is a simple answer...best sports teams (Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, Cubs etc.), best beer served at a sporting event (Old Style), best skyline, best pizza, best hot dogs, best neighborhoods, best people, best festivals, best places to work, best polititians, best colleges, best transportation, best nightlife, best parks, best art, best climate, and hottest women just to name a few reasons. It certainly puts Philadelphia to shame. I'm not saying Chicago is the best city in the world, but it's pretty darn close.

The team that has the best record or has the best season record.
An extremely broad question. Best shooting in terms of accuracy? Best finished? Best for investment? Best for home defense? Best for military use?
