Yes, but it is very difficult and will not sound that good. Acoustic Guitars are very hard to play using Electric Guitar tabs. The strings are higher, tighter, and bigger which makes it difficult to string bend and slide up and down the fretboard. With uncoated strings it is torture to soft fingers. Electric guitars lack the projection and warmth of acoustics but are, in my opinion, easier to play.

Can you learn the same on classical and acoustic guitar?

yes but there are some differences when we play guitar acustic and electric

Do you play notes on electric guitar the same as on acoustic?

yes it is, as long as u have both guitars in the same tuning. the notes on the neck will be the same on any guitar just as long as both are tuned the same. for example say you have an acoustic and electric both tuned in standard, if you play the fifth fret on your acoustics 6th(top) string it would be an A. likewise if you were to pick up the electric (remember it is in the same standard tuning) and play the same note on the same string it would also be an A. is that helpful?

Witch is better acoustic or electric guitar?

A bass guitar is better for riffs and bass lines. but the guitar is better for solos and chords. Most people would agree that normal guitars are the best.

Is the cable for an electric guitar the same as a bass guitar?

Is it harder to learn to play on one guitar or to learn to play on different guitars?

If the question is is it harder to learn to play one guitar THAN it is to learn to play several different guitars at the same time, then in my opinion, it is easier to learn to play by using only one guitar. Start with a 6 string guitar, maybe an acoustic guitar. Get used to that one particular guitar. Then graduate to another guitar, same acoustic type but larger. The frets are the same but the feel is different. then go on to an electric guitar. I've played piano for a long time and I've learned to feel the vibrations the sounds create. Same with the guitar. I need to feel the vibrations. The electric guitar doesn't give much vibrations; so, I prefer the acoustic. Graduate to the base guitar (different guitar altogether). Now it's only 4 strings (unless you're adventuresome and go with a 5-string . . .) Maybe this explanation will help.

Can an electric-acoustic guitar be plugged in to a amplifier?

Yes. An acoustic-electric guitar plugs into an amplifier the same way a regular electric guitar does.

Are bass guitar notes the same as electric guitar notes?

Bass guitar strings are tuned to the same notes as the thickest four strings of an electric guitar, but they are tuned one octave lower. So, the same notes, but one octave "deeper".

How do you play Guitar Hero 3 with a Guitar Hero 5 guitar?

The same way you play with a GH3 guitar

Are the first 4 chords the same in acoustic guitar?

Actually, everything is the same on the electric and acoustic guitar. The only difference might be the inversions of some chords that you play, because some inversions might sound better on an acoustic guitar while other inversions might sound better on the electric. There is no rule, and everything is absolutely the same on both kinds of guitars.

Which one is more commonly used in a rock band guitar bass or an electric bass guitar?

A bass-guitar and an electric bass guitar is the same thing, unless you want to get technical and call it an acoustic bass guitar and an electric, whereas your answer would be electric (for a rock/alt./punk/metal band) ---------------------------------------------------------------------

What should you take first regular guitar or electric guitar?

This usually depends on the style of music you want to play, but in most cases has the same results each time. People who start to play on an electric guitar first will learn to play basic songs easily, but will have difficulty learning any further than that. Starting to play on a 'regular', or acoustic guitar will give a learner better control over timings and scales, and a good knowledge of what note goes where and what sounds good with it.
