Believe it or not, the answer is NO! I believe Charley Pride is the only Black (African American) member of the Grand Ole Opry.
I don't want to take anything away from Charley, because he is one of the greats in Country Music, and I love him.
However, in the late 1920's, there was a Black (African American) man by the name of Deford Bailey. He was a gifted harmonica player, and was one of the Opry's most popular performers.

Charley Pride is one of the most famous country singers of all time. He is also a ground breaker as he was one of the first African American country singers. He is one of eleven children, but the names of his siblings are not public knowledge.
The only one to my knowledge, is the great country artist, Charley Pride.

His music and energy brought so much joy and inspiration to audiences, and his performances on the show were truly memorable.
