Freddie Mercury did not officially have a grave. He was cremated and the whereabouts of his ashes remains a mystery. It has been said that they are buried under the cherry tree in his garden, at garden lodge. It has also been said that they were scattered at Lake Geneva, a place where Freddie had an apartment, and a place where he found great peace. There has been rumours that there is a parsee burial ground in London, where his ashes were buried in an unmarked grave there. (It too 1 whole year for his ashes to be picked up from the undertakers .. Quite sad) His whereabouts have to remain unknown as there are some strange people out there who would try and dig him up, when all he deserves is to be left to rest in peace.

The statue is in Los Angeles near Olympic Park and he has relatives in LA. That's what it says in his biography. There are also statues of Mercury in London's west end and in Montreux, Switzerland.
