Boss uses buffered bypass, not true bypass.
Roland Corporation owns Boss Corporation, so in a way, yes.
Considering these pedals are priced under $50.00 USD, they both are pretty good effect pedals for the money. They're analog pedals, not digital like BOSS, Digitech, etc... The Chorus pedal is surprisingly good and rivals the sound of more expensive chorus pedals on the market. The Flanger is really nice too, although it adds some volume to your sound. Personally, I actually prefer the Starcaster Flanger over the more expensive BOSS BF-3 Flanger. Both Starcaster pedals are true bypass and produce minimal hiss when on. Unlike most effects pedals, the battery compartment is on the top, but I definitely recommend using an 9 volt AC adapter as they drain batteries pretty quick. The only downside on these pedals are their large size. I would have preferred a smaller size, but they are well built. These pedals might be inexpensive and marketed towards guitar novices, but they sound great. Just because they're cheap in price doesn't mean they're not good. Remember those cheap Danelectro guitars? Many frowned upon them as inexpensive beginner guitars until Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin played them. Who knows? 20 years from know, these inexpensive "beginners" pedals may be highly sought after for their lush analog sound.
It fits actually like really perfect. And you can still get 2 other pedals in there :)
I know a least on most songs Padge uses the Boss Metal Core
I'm not 100% sure on this, but i know he uses mainly boss pedals...., and that on the "all hope is gone" album he uses Boss metal zone, and MD-2 mega distortion. He may use others, but I'm pretty sure he uses these two.I'm not 100% sure on this, but i know he uses mainly boss pedals...., and that on the "all hope is gone" album he uses Boss metal zone, and MD-2 mega distortion. Yes, the Boss TU-3 is equipped with true bypass technology.
You can connect any pedals of any brand. Its best if you seperate single pedals away from multi pedals.

Some popular brands of harmonizer pedals used by musicians are Boss, Electro-Harmonix, TC Electronic, and Eventide.
There are a whole slew of acoustic simulator pedals out there. You're best bet would be the Boss line of AC pedals. The AC-2 and AC-3 by Boss are pretty much as standard as you can get for acoustic stompboxes.
