No. Active pickups will not make a guitar "squeal". If they make a guitar squeal, then you've done something wrong in the process of installing them, but I have no idea what would cause it to squeal.
Unless you are talking about the technique used commonly in guitar-oriented rock, metal music. In which case, it has to do with your technique. If you just hit a note, it's not going to scream. If you hit an artificial harmonic and maybe throw in some action with a Floyd Rose (or other) locking tremolo system, then you'll get somewhere.
EMGs (or other active pickups) require you to hear them for yourself and decide what you think. There are many passive pickups that will give you a load of treble response for those solos up above the fifteenth fret and for harmonics. EMG active pickups are NOT HOT at all. They are just extremely clear. Seymour Duncan Blackouts, on the other hand, are very very hot and will give you the absolutely insane distortion commonly found in the music made by Children of Bodom and Godsmack.
I hope you weren't looking for a short answer.
face plate if its a stratocaster shaped guitar. Its there to make changing the pickups and stuff easier. If not pickups because some are white.
to amplify the sound of the acustic guitar. Then they started to make higher out put pickups to get sort of a distorted sound bc there was no high gain amps at the time.
Yes you can. Just make sure that you don't paint the magnets. Best paints for this job are Model and Acryllic Car Paints.
yes, the active and passive parts refer to the types of pickups that are in a guitar. Many production models only make use of one type of pickup but some custom built guitars have both types of pickups in them.
It's probably feedback. When you play a note on your guitar, it's picked up by the pickups and amplified by the amp. If you're too close to the amp, the pickups will pick up the amplified sound and it will get amplified again and again. Try moving farther away from the amp. If that doesn't help, make sure all the electrical connections in your guitar are connected properly (double check the output jack.)
To install pickup covers on your guitar, you will need to remove the strings and pickups, place the covers over the pickups, and then reattach the pickups and strings. Make sure the covers are properly aligned and secure before restringing the guitar.

Those are called pinch harmonics.
Everything from the number of potentiometers, wiring layouts, and pickup layouts will effect the sound of your guitar through an amp. Bridge pickups make the guitar sound high and tight; neck pickups give a more mellow background rhythm tone, and middle pickups are usually mediators between the two. I am speaking generally of course, this is usually how any pickup sounds in these positions and armed with this knowledge allows you to select the correct pickups for each position.
I would just say let the acoustic guitar be, and buy a hollow-body electric guitar.
Each brand guitar makes a different sound, one guitar may be better than another,it could be the pickups,or the tuning. It could be anything.
the pickups on an electric guitar are just magnets. they pickup the vibrations of the strings to make the sound. depending on the position and the magnets, the guitar will get different sounds.
Make the whole bigger, buy pickups, strum harder, buy clip on microphone PS3 RULES XBOX DROOLES
You can transform the sound of an acoustic guitar to make it sound electric by using effects pedals like distortion, overdrive, or chorus, or by using an acoustic-electric guitar that has built-in pickups to amplify the sound.

To make an electric guitar sound more electric, you can try using distortion or overdrive effects, adjusting the tone and volume knobs on the guitar and amplifier, experimenting with different pickups, and using effects pedals like reverb or delay.
rock and metal usually , but if you change the strings to a different type and play something more blues style you can make it do much more. Plus tunings help too. by the way switching the pickups will make it sound like a whole different guitar when you get bored of it. However, not switching the pickups and playing metal like its meant for would make you less of a wuss.
