The Spider IV does already include several decent distortion sounds
I play metal on my fender squire strat. You are going to need to know how to shred. Also, get some new string made specifically for Metal. You will probably need a BOS pedal... at least a distortion pedal.
Well, the intro is obviously clean sound, then verse a little bit grunge-like sound and in the solo probably chorus/flanger. This is mostly correct. You will need a distortion pedal (if your amp has distortion, that will work but the correct pedal would be a Boss DS-1), a chorus pedal (any chorus will work but the pedal used in the recording is a Electro Harmonix Small Clone) and some kind of compression/sustainer. The comp pedal isn't required...most people get by without it when they cover the song. But a compression effect is used in the recording. The first part of the intro is clean, the second is distorted. Use the chorus for the verses and the prechorus, then switch it off and go back to the distortion for the chorus and preverse. Use all the effects for the solo.
To use a Line 6 FBV2 foot pedal as a wah wah effect, you'll need to assign the pedal to a wah effect in your Line 6 modeling software or amp settings. First, connect the FBV2 to your amp or modeling device and access the effect settings. Select the wah effect and assign it to the pedal. Finally, adjust the parameters to your liking, and you can control the wah sound by rocking the pedal back and forth.
Breaking Benjamin does not use distortion pedal's for their distortion. They use amp distortion if you are looking to get a similar sound shoot for any of the following with a little tweaking you can get very close to their sound. Note you will need an amp with a good clean signal. Sansamp gt2 (Best sound) Barber Dirty Bomb (Decent) Metal Muff (Has more of a high end then the above pedals)
You need two guitar cables. One from the guitar to the pedal and then another from the pedal to the amp.
First, check the battery in the pedal (or its power supply). Next, there should be a series of controls on the pedal which adjust the effect. Read the instructions that came with to learn what each nob does. Finally, stepping on the pedal activates the effect. You do not need to hold it down just 'click' it. Another 'click' will turn it back off.
It doesn't have or need a line connected to it. The spider is inside the vacuum chamber.

When a purple line appears, it means you need to press the foot pedal.

You need it to get up the mountain to get to the distortion world. it's a drag i know.
You need to bleed your clutch master cylinder line.
You may be able to adjust the pedal. You might also have air in the hydraulic line and need to get the air out.
ok if u have an amp. there "should" be a overdrive button. its usually small and black but press it. it shouldn't sound acoustic anymore.if u don't have that button then u need to buy a distortion pedal
more than likely you have air in brake line and need to bleed brakes
Is your bike pedal loose and in need of tightening or repair?
The Redback Spider (Latrodectus Hasselti) is a particularly venomous spider. It is quite recognisable because of its distinct red line on its black body, and is of the spider genus Latrodectus, in the family Theridiidae. They are usually found close to human residences. That's all I think you need to know. And that you need to keep away from them.
