if your fingers hurt when you play guitar, it's probably like your first couple of months playing. your fingers get sore the same way your feet would get sore if youplayed soccer barefoot for the first time. the pain will go away, you just need to build up callauses in your fingertips. dont stop playing though or they'll hurt the same way when you start again its perfectly normal all Guitarists have gone through this

∙ 12y agoYou kinda don't, your fingers are going to hurt when you first start playing guitar because you haven't built up calluses or padding yet.
After awhile of daily practice though you should be fine. If you've been playing for awhile and your fingers are still sore, try moisturizing them with something substantial because they may be dry or cracking.

∙ 13y agoThe Electric Guitar will hurt your fingers to start but they will soon develop callouses which will make playing alot easier. Also the acoustic guitar is harder to play than the electric.
