Typically the Jeeps that you're referring to with the Infinity Gold stereo system have a big puddle of water from a plugged up AC system all around them (the amp etc is under the rear passenger seat). This stereo system sounded good to the ears of people that could afford the vehicle new back in the day but also typically they were people old enough to not be able to hear much anyway. The correct answer actually is that NO, there was no fancy things in that system such as a low pass filter. Everything was controlled by the Amp, again located under the rear passenger seat. Primative engineering and typical of Jeep.
If it is infinity gold edition only the ZJ models will work. (93-97) it its completely stock then it should work with other years/models. I am not completely positive..... i would like to let you know that, but i personally have a jeep with the infinity gold which i know is hard to work with.... and i have a good guess that with other years of cars it can be compatible.
probably extra controls for the stereo volume and station selection.
Have you checked the aerial is pluged in to the radio. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- If it's the stock stereo, these go bad eventually......as well as the speaker ports on the back of the stereo... Just replaced mine with an after-market stereo for $99 at Circuit City.... Works fine now...
Stereo
whatever song you happen to be playing on the stereo
The amp is in the radio itself. If it's an Infinity system, each speaker has it's own separate amp.
The fuse for the 1994 Infinity Gold stereo amplifier in a Jeep Grand Cherokee is typically located in the vehicle's fuse box. This fuse box is usually found under the dashboard on the driver's side or in the engine compartment, depending on the specific model. Check the diagram on the fuse box cover or the owner's manual for the exact fuse location and rating for the amplifier. If the fuse is blown, replacing it may resolve audio issues with the stereo system.
Behind the glove box
The amplifiers are on the infinity speakers. Each speaker has its own amp.
Usually, Infinity Sound makes them. If you bought it second-hand it might be an aftermarket stereo
The 1997 Grand Caravan Infinity amp can be located behind the stereo system. The stereo system will need to be removed in order to access the amp.
An external amp comes stock in the original player that came with the jeep. The external amp is under the back seat, on the driver's side.
sounds like a bad ground
