Music comes in different kinds of genres and selections. It can be divided into words and rhythm. The two definitions of affect and effect can be compared. "Affect" is usually a verb, meaning to influence. (For example: His new wealth did not affect his easy-going manner.) "Effect" is usually a noun, meaning the result. (For example: The drop in the Stock Market had a serious effect on his holdings.) " Effect" can also be a verb meaning to bring about change. (For example: The new department head effected sweeping changes in departmental policy.) The difference is affect is an influence and effect is bringing out a change. The correct question to ask would have to be "Does it influence or change your attitude?" In my opinion, the type of music you listen to does affect your mood or attitude. Even though you may not listen to the words and you just hear the beat, it can have a great affect on your response to the song. My best friend sent me an updated version of a song from Punk Goes Crunk. It is the same song, but yet has a different rhythm to it. They both have two different affects. One is rap and sets you in an edgy mood, and the other one is a song with tones, not just words, that sets you in a completely different mood. People typically stereotype songs. Research on tunes can prove that. Typically when people think of metal, they think of anger. When people think of country, they think sad. When people think of classical, they think of relaxation. I remember when I was younger, I would turn on the radio and my mom would always tell me to turn different songs off. I would always wonder why because I loved those songs. I didn't realize why she wanted me to turn it off until I actually listened to the words. I realized that I only liked the song for the beat of it, not for the words. Today's society has totally turned around and made it about the beat. That way, any descriptive, un-necessary words can be thrown in there. I think that listening to different songs over and over again, in the same genre, switches your mood. For example, if you listened to metal, and that's all you listened to, the words would sink into your body and you would have a dark presence. Some people it doesn't affect at all. I know this works, in my case, because I can listen to anything and it won't affect me. My best friend and I listen to the same type of music, so when he has a new song to share with me, I can listen to it over and over again, and yet not change my mood towards it. When you break up with someone, music takes you back in time. People get sad and they turn on songs that remind them of that person. It also brings back the memories of all the good times shared with that person. Songs can be used as dedications towards people. It expresses how you feel, in words that you can't express, yet the song can. It is a feeling, when you can go back in time and re-live the moment all over again. That is why people listen to songs repeatedly. I know that people do this because I do. Every time a song is used for a memory, I like to re-live the moment and play the song over and over again because it brings me great joy. Joy is like a mountain because your joy can be at its lowest yet, when acquiring a feeling, it gets lifted to its highest peak. Music is known as its own "International Language". Like I said before, people are starting to use music as their words. Music therapy can make a difference in people's lives. Special needs kids and people with learning disabilities use music therapy in their way of living. Some kids even learn their alphabet and learn how to write using music. It meets the needs of children, hungry for liability to talk. You are probably wondering what music therapy really does for young people. The point is to promote wellness, manage stress, alleviate pain, express feelings and characteristics, enhance memory and improve communication. For some kids, it relaxes them and helps them express their words through music. It is like yoga because it calms the soul. It is a coping skill for life that kids need to learn. Even deaf people can feel the music. With the vibrations they feel on their skin from the music, it brings great emotion towards them. Even though they can't hear the music, they still have the ability to touch and feel. It gives them the power to de-stress. Music is what everyone listens to. Beauty comes from within the music and within the words. Ask yourself, why do I listen to this type of music? The response you get should be your attitude, reflected off the words. Expressing yourself is very important and music is one way of helping, in that sense of beauty portrayed. The expression of words is truly its own musical beauty. this is soooo true

Yes, probably. If you were to be a president, you would have to have leadership and no fear to anyone in front of you. If you did, you can't be a president. A president has to perform a lot of speeches! If you were shy, I guess you wouldn't even be elected for one.
