Well EMG is probably your best bet. You pickup depends on the type of music you play. EMG 81(lead) and 85(rhythm) are for most types of rock. Higher output pickups are crunchier and for harder rock. anywhere on the strings below the nut and below where your hands are on the neck
When you pluck a string on an electric guitar that is plugged in to an amplifier, the pick-ups underneath the strings "hear" the sound, and send it through to the amplifier, projecting the sound of the string plucked.
The Huntington Telecaster comes with two single coil pick ups. I took mine apart to see what was inside and they look simiilar Squire Affinity pick-ups. Most likely they are very similar in construction and quality and probably come from similar manufacturers. It's a pretty good sounding guitar with stock pick-ups. For the money you can't really go wrong. Worst case scenario you spend an extra $40 and get a nice bridge pick-up as that would make the most difference for a Telecaster.
He used a Seymore Duncan Dimebucker bridge pick-up and a Seymore Duncan 59 neck pick-up.

Just one. Get a bridge pickup.
Most have about 2 pick ups, but it depends since obviously like any other instrument they can be modified to have more or less. Usually a standard bass has 2 pick ups (P Style and J Style pick ups are popular and most pick ups are magnetic). A 5 or 6 string bass should have longer pick ups (wider) than a 4 string (shorts pick ups on 5 or 6 string basses yeild a poorer sound in most instances)
The toggle switch selects different combinations of the pick-ups.If guitar has 3 pick-ups then you should get 4 variations plus in between settings. Also the treble and tone knobs can be used to good effect.
No it's just amplified but because it doesn't have the pick ups, the sound is not the same. Yes, depending on the amplifier and the abilities it has. Both have pick-ups built into them. The acoustic typically doesn't have the controls that an electric would have, but some come with a set of sliders on the side that allow you to adjust the effects. Mostly it is done with the amps and boxes in between.
The vibrating metal guitar string moves in a magnetic field that creates a signal that gets picked up by the wire coil inside the pick ups. As long as the guitar is plugged in, this amplifies the sound.
Basically, there are pick-ups directly under the strings that are essentially "microphones" and they amplify the sound given off by the strings.
Yes.
Two Pick-Ups In One Did you know:A humbucking pick-up is a pick-up that has 2 single coil pick-ups put together.
