the embouchure, (or formation of lips) is a very large part in being a successful Trumpet player.try and buzz on a mouthpiece.sometimes this may come naturally when you buzz.the lips gently press together whilst keeping the corners very tight.say the letter "m" and leave your lips where they are.they should be slightly rolled in.then make a frown.your'e ready to go!
hope that helps =)

The reason a persons lips go numb when playing trumpet is usually because they pull back on the trumpet, stopping the blood circulation to the lips. If you find that this is the case, be conscious of this when you practice. You might find that initially your range is somewhat reduced but with regular practice, the muscles that make up your mouth will become stronger and you will be able to play higher than you could when you were pulling back on the trumpet.

To buzz your lips for trumpet playing, you need to form a tight seal with your lips and blow air through them while vibrating them together. This buzzing creates the sound that is amplified by the trumpet's mouthpiece and produces the notes you play. Practice and proper technique are key to mastering this skill.

Your lips and lungs.
No i dont think so because dont you use your lips and breath for trumpet playing? rather than your teeth ? Yes, it can. If you're teeth are crooked it can make playing the trumpet more difficult. Even though you don't use your teeth to play, you do put some amount of pressure on them while playing.
