Overdose of anti seizure medication prescribed for his Alcoholism by a Doctor Who did not realize that his patient was "Moon the Loon", famous for his excessive lifestyle. The numbers of pills found in his bloodstream correspond to his age, but that may of course be as coincidental as the ominous text on the chair he bestraddled on the cover of the last album he lent his amazing percussive talent to, "Who Are You?" - it reads: NOT TO BE TAKEN AWAY. Pete Townshend suggested that Moon's death may have been his ultimate way of cocking a snook at the world in the nihilistic spirit that formed the other side of the moon. He will be remembered for having lived rock 'n' roll in addition to having played it so brilliantly. His outstanding talent for music and his delightful sense of humor indicate he may have been a savant (as suggested by Roger Daltrey), for he excelled only in those two areas while miserably failing in all other respects.
