Taylor Swift became a singer by just applying, then they asked her to sing, then they picked her........(that is what they say) im not saying that is how she really became a singer or not!!!lol

Taylor Swift became a singer by walking into a guy's (some one famous I forget his name thoe) office and started to play her guitar and singing then he started to talk to her and he wanted to ship her whole family down to Nashville and they went there. Then, he gave her a recording contract and she started to record songs. And she was like 12 or 15 when that happened. if your wonderin how i know this it's because i was watchin a show called 'Grammy's backstage' and it's 'bout a women who talks to the 2009 Grammy nominees and she was talking to Taylor Swift and she asked her "so Taylor how did you become a singer?" so ya.

She performed at a Songwriter's Show at the Bluebird Cafe in Tennessee. Scott Borchetta happened to be in the audience that night and he took interest in Taylor. He spoke to Taylor and her parents after the show, and it turns out that he was starting up a new record label, Big Machine Records. He asked Taylor to sign with his new label, and she agreed. It was not even a guarantee that she or the label would make it, because it was just starting out. Taylor could have stayed with RCA Records, but they wouldn't let her sing her own songs. They didn't even say that she would ever get a record deal with them. They wanted her as a songwriter, nothing more. So Taylor chose Big Machine Records, which turned out to be the best decision she has ever made.
