I do not believe the assassination of JFK had any influence on Folk Music. Rather it was the Viet Nam war that had a direct influence on Folk Music. We did however enter the Viet Nam war under JFK. It was a country divided at the time of the Viet Nam war as well as the war being an unpopular war. Never at any time nor since have men and women of the military been treated so badly because of the unpopularity of this war.
