I play trumpet flute and clarinet and i am always being asked the same question. All three instruments have different qualities which make them harder than others so you can't really choose between them. For example the clarinet and flute can play up to G (4th ledger line). They find it easier to reach higher notes than the trumpet because the trumpeter has to have a stronger embrasure. However the trumpet only has 3 valves which a player uses in diffrent combinations to get up to C (two octaves above middle C) the flute and clarinet have many morehope than answered your question(p.s if anybody says otherwise there just obsessed with their instrument);D
