Pull the adjustment dial, located on the right side, all the way out and twist it. Push it back in half way and you can adjust the date. Push it back in all the way so your date and time does not get messed up.
In order to adjust the clock, you need another clock that you're sure
is reading the correct time. We'll call that one the "reference".
-- Take a comfortable position where you have access to both clocks. The "reference"
may be placed in any stable position where you clearly see its hands or display. You
don't need to handle the reference, but you do need to be able to reach and handle
the clock that's to be adjusted.
-- Grasp the clock to be adjusted firmly in your hands. Maneuver it into a position where
you can see its display, and at the same time, you can operate the wheels or buttons
that cause its time display to change.
-- Glance at the reference and note the time it displays. With no hurry or stress,
operate the controls on the clock to be adjusted so that its time display reads close
to the same time as the reference, within a few minutes either way.
-- Now the final step will be carried out. Before you continue, make sure again that
your position is comfortable, that you are breathing easily, that none of your muscles
is cramped, and that you are prepared to focus your attention on the final adjustment.
Take your time, relax, and proceed only when you're completely ready.
-- In one quick, smooth move, >> look at the reference, >> note the time on its display,
and >> move the display of the clock in your hands to read exactly the same time as the
time displayed on the reference.
If you have carefully and effectively carried out each of these steps in the proper sequence,
the clock is now properly adjusted, and it may be set into its permanent position.
Even if the newly adjusted clock is not running at all, it will still read the correct time
twice a day.
