Firefox has an add-on that lets you rip mp3s and videos from the internet. It's called Download Helper and the symbol is 3 circles (a red one, a yellow one, and blue one). Download this to Firefox and the symbol will start moving around in your toolbar when it detects a music or video file that it can download. When it does just click the down arrow next too it and select download file. Then it's ask you what you want to save it as. it'll suggest a file name. If you don't want to change it, just hit save. If you do want to change it, make sure you put a ".mp3" or ".flv" or ".avi" or whatever file format the video should be in afterwards, or else the file won't save correctly.

Also, don't try to save a video file as an mp3. It doesn't work like that. It won't create a working mp3 file.
