What you need is a line level converter. This device pinches off existing, amplified, speaker wires coming out of your OEM deck. It has RCAs on it... It changes the value of energy from amplified to line level, which your amp is looking for. You will need the standard amp install kit after that.
I recently hooked up an aftermarket cd player that had no rca jacks, I tried several ways to hook em up but none of them worked. Best thing to do is buy a Converter box. From there, its fairly simple to hook up if you know how to read lol, but i just read the papers that came with it and followed instructions. Basically, only thing i had to do was take the speaker wires out of the connector, and hook them into the converter and the rca jacks go from the converter to the amp. Mine works good know, Its about a 30 min job if you know what your doing. Its really simple honestly.
There are some cheaper car amps that have inputs direct from speaker leads, as well as RCAs. An RCA-only amp cant be used because the output from your radio will be too high.
You hook the "high-input" wires from the amp to the factory speakers. This will serve as the 'RCA' cables.
you buy a adapter from a auto parts store..hook your 2 back speakers to it then run rca jacks from the adapter to the amp
how do u hook up scosche fai 3a to cadillac can i go threw factory amp
if you are using an aftermarket wiring harness hook up the remote turn on wire on the new radio it should be blue with a white stripe to the harness also has a blue and white stripe and plug it in this wire turns on the factory amplifier if you are not using a harness you will have to locate the internal amplifier wire of the radio and connect that to the remote turn on on the aftermarket radio = answer = the inernal apm power wire is white on the black wire harness ANSWER if you dont want to use the factory amp. just run new speaker wires to each speaker.
behind the radio hidden up amongst the bundle of wires, it is very difficult to access and replace
you are exeeding the factory amp and speaker ratings... its so you dont fry the sterio or blow the speakers
it is...but they wont perform properly nor sound right.
if you have the Bose system you might need to hook up the aftermarket amp wire to the factory amp
Why bypass amp just get wiring diagram and hook up remote"blue wire" to the remote lead from factory amp. Or unplug amp use a meter and check which wire has power. Then turn off radio and check wire again should have no power with radio off. This will only work if factory radio is still installed. But that wire would be remote wire. Just hook up new radio remote wire to the found wire. Then connect speakers to factory plugs and use the amp.

All you need is an adaptor
The easiest way is a Line Out Converter. you either splice off the rear speakers or if it was equipped with subwoofer then you can splice into that line. The Line Out Converter just gives you a set of RCAs and then you just hook it all up like normal.
Yes, It is integrated into the factory radio. It has its own built in amp...If you turn it up @ nite-time you will see it blink when power is required...
yes, got to get a adjustable line out converter and tap into your speakers
I have no answer for you but mine does the same thing.
There is an amp inside the radio unit. Depending on radio type used there may also be a secondary amp inside the trunk mounted high up just below the rear windshield.
