Many ways. Shoot them. Put a net around the tree. You can try using old CD's hanging in it. Rubber Snakes work sometimes. Put a plastic owl by it on a post. That works real well. Hang wind chimes by it. Take your pick. I use an owl in my garden. I never have birds in it. I did have a hawk attack the owl. The owl won.
Cherries.
Cherries will ripen if picked after they start to change color. You can place partilly ripe cherries in a bowl or paper bag at room temperature and they will ripen to a degree. We have used the technique on sweet and pie cherries as well as wild cherries. Of course they are not as sweet as cherries picked ripe on the tree but they are an improvement over cherries that you don't get at all because the birds ate them! Greg Schneider
It's their seed. Cherries are basically a seed for the cherry tree.

Cherries are the seed distribution system for the cherry tree, just as acorns are for the oak tree or apples are for the apple tree. The cherries grow, then birds an mammals eat them. When the creature drops a cherry or excretes the seed, a new cherry tree is planted. If the place the seed is dropped is suitable for the tree to grow, it will grow and eventually produce more cherries.
i climbed a tree and it only had 2 cherries, you only picked a cherry, not two cherries
They like rotten cherries. I always see them under my cherry tree eating the the fallen fruits.

No, they migrate like other birds that live in an environment with dramatic changes in wheather such as winter.
Cherries do not ripen off the tree. To ensure cherries ripen properly, leave them on the tree until they are fully ripe. Harvest them carefully to avoid bruising, and store them in a cool place to maintain freshness.
