I do agree with your answer the strings are reversed, and yes you can buy some guitars left handed if your lucky enough to find one, and if your lucky enough to find a good one. It's really too bad that even today most big guitar companies continue to punish the lefties. I recently wanted to try out a Warwick Bass Guitar because I've heard they're a really good. When I inquired about trying one out I was told it would have to be a special order made and bought from the Warwick guitar company because I'm left handed. I said to them but what if I do happen to order one and find I don't like it, then what? And why would anyone buy something without trying it out first? So because I'm left handed I feel like I'm being discriminated against at times just because I'm a lefty. Guitar companies need to step up and get with it and start making their guitars more available for lefties! There are a lot more of us out there then ever!!

I'm a lefty who plays righty because my brother told me to. It doesn't matter which handed guitar you use.

No, the strings will be the wrong way around for you, just swop them around, retune, and you will be fine. As I found out being left handed as well

I'm left handed and I play "right handed" guitar. After all, it's my left hand doing all the hard work.

Same way you play the right handed, except you strum with your left hand and use the fretboard with your right. I cant play a right handed guitar so good job on that.

There are a lot of guitars for lefties to. You should do it, it might be fun. Tony Iommi is left-handed, and it didn't stop him becoming a guitar god and inventing heavy metal along the way (mind you, nor did losing the tips of two of his fretting fingers). I believe Kurt Cobain was also left-handed.

yes they do...and why? Because most big guitar companies still believe to this day that left handed guitars don't sell as fast as right handed, which is true, but there are far more left handed people playing guitars these days then ever. It's unfortunate they continue to punish the lefties with their lack availability on left handed guitars, and most have to be ordered special from the guitar makers which can be very expensive, so a lot of lefties will play a right handed guitar and just reverse the strings. It's most unfortunate they still punish the lefties!

You can tell by looking at the strings. The largest string should be at the top of your guitar when you hold in normally on your knee, with the neck in your left hand. If this is not the case, and the strings go in opposite order, then you have a left-handed guitar.
