How do you replace the bulbs in the center console on a Jeep Cherokee Laredo?

I do not beleive your Jeep uses bulbs in the console.
I have a 2000 grand cherokee and it uses a light strip that is part of the console and can only be replaced with the shifter assembly.......
I plan to cut the wires from the light strip and install a pep boys console light that uses replacable bulbs....probably will just lay it in there as long as it is protected and safe...

Once you get it out you might see that the bracket that the screws on the bottom of the storage bin go into is broken. You can get a replacement bracket for about $80.00. You have to remove the console to replace.
