Push the "Effects" knob on your amp to enter edit mode. Turn down the knobs labeled, "feedback", "Level", and "Level" (There are two "level" knobs). Press the edit knob again to exit the editing mode. You should have no more delay (and reverb).

What is the best metal guitar amplifier brand and best metal electric guitar brand?

The best amp practice/metal/gig amp you can buy on the market is the Peavey Vypyr series. I personally own a Peavey Vypyr 15 and it has the best metal sound and it's super loud it goes to 13 and it fills my entire house at 0.5, and for the guitar I would have to say Jackson, Jackson Kelly, King V, and Rhoads are all good metal guitars As far as amps go, the above is some good stuff but it depends on your budget. I currently own a peavey vypyr 100w 212 and it's really good for band practice and small gigs. It also does have some wicked metal distortion, however, if you happen to have a decent amount of money and need an overall louder and better sounding amp, I would strongly suggest randall. I have played quite a few randalls and they all have been very nice. But if you don't have that much money peavey is probably your best bet. And guitars, I'd have to say schecter is probably the best you can get, for not all that much money. Jacksons are good but the overall feel, sound, playabillity etc. of schecters is alot nicer. And they look really cool. Ibanez is also really good but the stock Ibanez pick ups that come in most ibanez guitars are rather weak. One more thing, I have seen alot of people go for big name guitars (Dean, B.C. Rich) and amps (Mesa/Boogie, Krank, low end Marshalls) without thinking about quality. I like the look of dean and B.C. Riches but most of them suck. not necessarily sound but build quality. And with amps, yeah mesa boogie is really good but for metal you can do alot better for the price. Krank is also good but for the price you pay they don't really have enough umph in 'em. Just make shure you think alot before buying any guitar or amp, epecially bigger names. What amp settings are best for metal?

It actually depends on your amp head. A lot of variations need to be thought about. I have a Crate GT1200H, sometimes I use the distortion on the head(only when practicing). Are you using a distortion pedal? If you are, when using my dist. pedal, I put my high almost all the way up, mid a bit past half, the low a little farther then the mid. I get a really thick, chunky tone but clear. Hope this helps you some. If you need the answer in mids, bass, treble, here are my settings: Drive: 10, Mids 1: 2 Mid 2: 1 Bass: 10 Treble: 8.5

for a single coil by all means, my friend got almost pantera-ish tones out of his Pevy Vypyr and the right strings and everything.

What would be a good practice modelling amp in the 100 to 200 pound region you were thinking maybe a peavey vypyr what do you think?

I've been playing about 5 years and one of the first things I learned is the a tube sounds a lot better than a transistor. There' a reason why every band on stage uses tube amps, they sound better. Let the amp handle the tone and use a modeling pedal board for effects and models. What is the best brand of heavy metal guitar amplifiers?

This is a rather subjective question but I'll give my OPINION. I have had much experience with peavey amps and have come to love them. I have a peavey vypyr 100w 212 and it has alot of good stuff in it. Loads of effects but to get a really nasty metal distortion you'll need a noise decimator. But well worth it especially if you're on a budget. Other peavey amps like the valveking, jsx, xxx, 6505 (same as 5150 II) are very nice but a little spendy for what comes with them. However I have my sights set on a Randall V2H Head. I have found randall to have better quality in sound and overall than any other amp I've played. Pretty expensive, but I think it's worth it. Great dynamics, ridiculous amount of shaping options (It has an on-board 6 band graphic EQ and presence, for high end dynamics, and density control, for low end dynamics), which is perfect for me being a tone freak. Krank amps have wicked distortion but for the price you pay I think you should get more, like reverb or delay. Brands like Hughes and Kettner, Fryette, Diezel, Mesa/Boogie etc. cost a LOT of money but are really good amps, but for the money I think you could do better. Overall I highly suggest Peavey, for those of us on a budget, and Randall for tone freaks. If you have any other questions please email me at benaild@gmail.com

What are the best guitar pick ups for metal?

Jackson, BC Rich, Ibanez, ESP and let's not forget Gibson. Anyone who disputes that can take it up with Zakk Wylde. Any guitar can either sound good for metal OR with a little money (new pickups, strings etc...) can be made to sound good for metal. The first 4 brands I mentioned are probably the more common names associated with metal music. Schecter should probably also be thrown in there. Truth is that no one guitar is the absolute perfect axe for anything. Much of it is personal preference just like anything else. That is not to say that if you go out and buy the cheapest guitar you can find, that it will sound as good as a high end BC Rich or a Jackson. Not even close. But as we all know, your wallet will play a big part in what you play AND let's not forget what you're plugging into. For example, I still have a lower/middle of the road Ibanez RG3. Paid $299 for it at a Guitar Center Labor Day sale. ($429 regular) Replaced the stock pickups with Seymour Duncan Blackouts. Sounds like a metal beast! Was using it with a Boss Metal Zone pedal, through a Peavey Vypyr 30 watt solid state amp no less (speaker replaced with an Eminence Patriot "Swamp Thang" however) Whole setup was well less than $1000 and sounded vicious! f you have the cash for a BC (very reasonably priced for what you're getting by the way) or my personal fav, a Jackson Soloist. Then get it. But there are many good guitars and amps out there at lower price points.
