Simply contact the police dept. that arrested you. They will tell you who towed the vehicle. Depending on your local laws you may not be able to get your vehicle back.It could be seized and auctioned by your local goverment. Some states offer a free service online to search for your vehicle. Check out: https://secure.Utah.gov/ivs/ivs Not sure what state you are in but I'd bet there is something. Also like the first user stated, contact the police that arrested you.
You pay the towing/storage fee and get your car! If you do not have a license, you take someone with you who does! This is assuming that your vehicle is not evidence and can legally be released to you.
In most states, nothing for the owner of the car except possibly having to retrieve their car from impound, but for the unlicensed driver it's a different story. The driver can be hauled off to jail until someone bails you out and pays your fine. They may just be ticketed or warned, depending on the officer.
You can not legally drive a car if your license is suspended. So you will not be able to rent a car from anyone. That's not really true. Car rental companies don't really have a system to check the status of your driving record. Although yes it is illegal, its not impossible to get car on suspended license. Example: My mother rented car in TX and was pulled over and officer told her her license was suspended from VA. She didn't knowingly drive on suspended license. No ticket was given because she was out of state driver.
yes
In most states, the officer is not allowed to take your license on the spot. However, if you fail a field sobriety test, he can make you take a cab home or have someone pick you up (and possibly impound your car), but he still has to give your license back. You haven't been convicted of a crime as yet, so you can't be punished until after the court case/hearing. If a judge/court or DMV takes your license, then it is suspended for a set amount of days (90 days, 1 year, indefinitely for repeat offenders).
You mean you were driving while your license was suspended. You disregarded the punishment the judge gave you for whatever laws you broke previously. Driving on a suspended license is again breaking a law. You might get your license revoked permanently.
If you are summarily arrested on the scene and taken to jail, they MAY impound your car for safekeeping, but it is not impounded as part of your 'punishment.'
my truck was impounded i sold it to my friend cause my drivers license was suspended and they released it to them thank you
They pay an impound fee and possibly fines.
It all depends on whether its your car or not
it can if they find that you lied about your car being stolen.
You can register it but someone else has to drive it.
No, if their license was suspended they should not be driving, if they are involved in an accident and are at fault the other person can go after you since it is your car and then you are liable.
If they catch you driving on that expired license, yes.
I think it depends on your car insurance policy.
You can't get car insurance if your drivers license has been suspended.
You must have a valid drivers license to rent a car. A suspended license is not a valid one.
It's usually the same punishment as if they were driving their own car.
