The sensor works by generating pulses that are sent to the PCM. The PCM will use this information to notify where the crankshaft is to determine the injector sequence and ignition timing. When you installed the new CKP, did you happen to notice if a peice of paper was on the end that went into the bell housing? The paper is cut off by the crankshaft to give the proper distance and will not work correctly without it. If you didn't have a peice of paper on it you can either go to the dealer and get the paper or you can use a cereal box and cut the small peice and glue it on.

Yes. According to many articles and two songs on their new album he is gay. But dont start thinking of their music differently just because hes gay. (if your wondering which song listen to "i still remember" or read the lyrics to the song.
Answercoolant temp sensor reading wrong to engine control unit, idle air control motor, vacuum leak, or problem w/airmass sensor. Should be a check engine light on, if so have the codes read, they will help determine the cause of the idle problem.
I am working on the same problem in a 1999 Elantra Wagon, and have read that it could be the crank sensor. Hope this helps. here are a couple of possiblities: bad crank sensor, broken or jumped timing belt, bad fuel pump, bad cam sensor. Answer was this the only problem or was the transmission not shifting before too?
Have you had the vehicle code read. if not, check the crank sensor for position they do have a tendancy to move. getting it code read would be the first option though.
Old ones, cable drive tach. New ones, crank sensor.
FROM WHAT I HAD READ, AFTER YOU HAVE TRYED EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF THEN IT IS THE SENSOR..I WOULD SAY IF IT TURNING OVER AND NOT CRANKING AND YOU HAVE FIRE, IT WOULD BE THE SENSOR.....HOPE THIS HELPED
Sounds like one of the engine sensors. Either the crank shaft sensor or the cam shaft sensor. Have the codes read.
0336 if you mean mil fault code- crank sensor performance, but there are others that are crank sensor related. have yours read and ask a new question if you need definition or are looking for casting nos/specs instead for a replacement.
The crank position sensor is located on the engine block and passes between the block and the bell housing at about the 10 o´clock position as viewed from the front of the vehicle. The sensor extends down into the bellhousing to read notches in a disc mounted just ahead of the torque converter.
Check fuel pressure, and check for codes. You will need a scan tool to read the cam and crank sensors while cranking, to see if they are working.
Hello Jamison here, YES, Also,CAM SENSOR,IGNITION MODULE,COIL,PCM,LOSE CONNECTIONS IN WIRING, LOTS OF OTHER STUFF. You should either get A Hanes/or/Chilton manual and read it very carefully or BUY A scaning tool, or Take to someplace to have it checked out, I would not start buying parts, You would be very lucky to get it fixed in the first 1 or 2 tries. GOOD LUCK, Jamison Absolutely. The crank sensor tells the ignition module when to fire the spark plugs. A faulty crank sensor would mean your spark plugs would not fire, or would fire at the wrong time. Both of these will cause a car to stall and not start again.
It monitors the position or rotational speed of the crankshaft. This information is used by the engine management system to set the timing and other parameters.
Fuel, compression? Yes maybe but most likely its the Crank Sensor i have had to jeep sports and have read alot about and also have had to replace it in both jeeps hope this helps
Well there's the crankshaft sensor but it doesn't create any spark. The coil creates the spark. Suggest for hasve it read for any codes and go from there. The computer will usually be able to tell you what's wrong. No guessing that way. Actually the crank sensor tells ECM piston position to then fire the necessary plug in the correct firing order. If your sure there is no spark crank sensor could very well be the culprit.
