You use a special dye to color it.

Some people use different colors

to dye their Flute and it turns different

colors. Sometimes it is spray paint

but that is very bad for the instrument.

What is a rose gold flute?

get a flute flute coated in 14K gold It has more of a copper color to it than a yellow gold because it is not 24K. http://www.fluteplayer.net/2005/12/thinking-of-getting-your-flute-gold.html or a flute made out of rose gold can be bought here: http://www.burkart.com/newfplist.htm?sid=0001l3dfJDLCw5km5o5n9A4 they are quite pricey though. but the sound quality is worth it if you are looking for a sweeter sound. an alternative it a silver flute with gold lip plate because it also gives you a nicer sound.
