The Trumpet can take years or decades to master, but musical talent is different with every individual. Therefore, someone could practice for 5 minutes to 5 years to fit your description of well.

Learn to listen to yourself and others around you when you play. Learn to play in tune and with musical rhythm. That is how you grow and become a better player.

You can play alot of notes! they range from like a really low g to really high c that is 2 lines above the staff. i know this b/c i play the trumpet and take lessons.
Practice hard, practice, practice, and more practice. If you can, take lessons.

It most likely won't play because you put a valve in back words or not in properly, to get your mouthpiece out there's a special tool to get it out, you can find that tool probably at any music store or you can just take your trumpet to the shop and they will take it out.
it took me three months without lessons...the first thing i did was learn about "tabs" and "chords"...then i wuld pick a song i liked and learned it
