In 2009-2010, Whitney Houston was cited by the Guiness Book of World Records as "the most awarded female artist of all time"-- by then, she was the recipient of 415 career awards, including Emmys, Grammys, Billboard Music Awards, and American Music Awards. Then, after she died in 2012, she received another mention in Guinness, for something that happened in England: British fans experienced a renewed interest in her music and twelve of her past hit songs rocketed up the charts at the same time.
