The last song the BEATLES ever recorded together was the appropriately named "The End," heard on the album Abbey Road.

However, the two other songs "Free as a Bird" and "Real Love," released at the end of the 90's, were also credited to the Beatles. They were originally composed by John alone as part of his solo career, after the Beatles broke up, but he never had a chance to finish them.

Years after his death, Paul found the rough demos John had recorded (consisting of Lennon backing himself on piano while singing) and called up the two remaining Beatles, asking if they wanted to play together again. They added guitar, bass, drums and background vocals and kept the original recording as the lead vocal for both songs. (Although Paul and George each sing lead for the bridge in "Free as a Bird.)

The finished products were technically the last Beatle songs.
