I'm a Berklee student, and the competition is rough, but they care about learnability. If you have the money to learn, have the ambition to steak it out (it is NOT a cakewalk), and have a basic knowledge/developing technique and style on your instrument, you will be fine. Apply again if you don't get in. Don't get discouraged when you're here.
See your question may sound generic but it isnt. The level of complication can be based many factors. For example, some may have more of a "musical ear" then others an pick up on things faster then others. There is also those people who choose not to study, practice, an not take it seriously it is gunna be harder for them also. See what i am basically trying to say is that there are so many factors going into whether music school, or any other school for that matter, would be hard or not. My best advice would be if you choose to go to music school that you walk in with your head high an ready to get down to business. What you put in is what you get out that is the way it is with most things and life and if you are working an trying to do good it is not going to go unnoticed. See other people could be doing bad and they flunk because they weren't making an effort to try an overcome the obstacles that face them. Then there are those who arent doing so good but ARE making that effort and teachers, professors, and the people who are teaching you will notice that. They appreciate and respect students who strive to do better and THOSE are the students who will receive extra help an guidance they need to graduate. Yes you have a great sense of accomplishment after you finish but what people dont realize is the teachers feel that same sense of accomplishment because they jus made a difference in someones life. So all in all music school can be as hard as you make it out to be or it can be easier. But it is not just a walk in the park or else you would be as well equipped with the tools they teach so you can further pursuit what ever your interests are in music. If you put yourself out there tho, and make it known that you want to learn an are willing to try an conquer the obstacles to reach the top then you should do just fine.
Berklee is one of the most prestigious music colleges in the, country (and the world for that matter), and I believe they only accept four thousand students every year.
So, basically: Yes.
Why not ASK THEM ?? ( It's a great school, but you probably don't need a very high GPA to get in.)

She didn't opt to go to college but went to everything else. She went to Pauline G. Hughes Middle School and Burleson High School. She was offered full scholarship to University of Texas at Austin, University of North Texas, and Berklee but decided against college because she had "already written so much music and wanted to try it on her own," and she figured "You're never too old to go to college." It cost $25 to produce the music video
About one Million dollars.
According to information obtained from the leading music school in the United States, Berklee College of Music, a music arranger makes from $18,000 - $200,000+ a year.
By his own admission, Psy (real name: Park Jae-Sang) was not much of a student. He attended Berklee College of Music and Boston University, but spent too much time partying and not enough time studying. Ultimately, he decided to stop going to college. The one thing that attending college did for him was to improve his English, and that has been very useful in his music career, since he wants to be a global force in music, rather than just part of the Korean Wave.
Training to be a music teacher could cost anywhere from 2,000 to 60,000 dollars a year. It takes 4 to 5 years of college education to become a music teacher.
