It depends on how many pieces (snare drums, cymbals etc.) there are in the set and what company makes it. It also depends if has things like a double-bass (two bass pedals) or not.
(from Username IDODRUM) Most drumkits are usually sold without cymbals, and the real high-end kits are usually sold without hardware (a.k.a shell-kits). A good starter drumkit setup can consist of a snare, one mounted tom, one floor tom and a kick drum (bass drum), two crash, one ride and a set of hi-hat cymbals. I'd say for around $700.00 you can put together a good starter kit. Drum brands that have good starter lines are Tama, Pearl and CB Drums. (very entry-level, but still good) And for cymbals there's Zildjian and Paiste (pronounced pie-stee and not paste) both makers have good entry-level cymbal lines. Hope this helps -IDODRUM
They come from 500 to 3000$. it depends alot on the brand and size of kit (piece amount)
