The trumpet is a member of the brass family; the flute is a woodwind. A trumpet has valves, and a flute has keys. A trumpet is in the key of B flat, while a flute is a C instrument. Much about them is different, but the similarity is that they are both metallic.
There's no way to tell you how much a trumpet is worth without seeing it in person... The value of a trumpet doesn't just depend on what brand it is. It depends on age, condition, playability, among other things.
wynton marsilas trumpet is worth more than an expensive lambourghini like close to $300,000 it seams like alot for a trumpet but his is not any ordinary trumpet.
1976-1977.

In 1963, Selmer bought the Buescher company and after that the Aristocrat became a student horn. Prior to that, though, there was the Buescher TrueTone, which was their top-of-the-line horn, and the step right below that was the Aristocrat, a very nice professional horn. I myself own an Aristocrat from 1963 just before the buyout, and I love it. It's comfortable, the valves move great, and depending on the mouthpiece, it's a great horn for any type of playing and timbre.
A patrician was an aristocrat.
A piccolo trumpet is a trumpet with half the normal length of tubing. This allows it to produce pitches much higher than a normal trumpet.
