Steinway & Sons grand pianos are premium pianos in terms of quality and price, with retail prices for ebony pianos generally ranging from $44,000 to $111,000 in the United States. Limited edition pianos and pianos with special veneers sell for retail prices of up to $170,000.

They introduced the Boston line in the early 1990s to allow them to compete in the mid-priced category. Retail prices for upright and grand pianos generally range from $6,000 to $40,000 in the United States. Subsequently, they added a full line of pianos under the Essex brand name to their mid-priced offering. Retail prices for Essex pianos range from $4,000 to $20,000 in the United States.

Generally, if you were to go onto a website they would not list it. They would rather have you come in to one of their dealerships and choose one so they could make a close deal, thus they make more money. A grand piano, depending on the year it was made and the size and the quality of the wood and finish, it can go for anywhere between 10 to 50 grand. A new one will automatically cost you as much as a new car, like in the 25,000 dollar range. But if you wanted one that was longer in size where it gives out a better sound then be prepared to see an extra 10,000 added onto that 25,000. But there is a better alternative. On some websites they have grand pianos that are fairly cheap that normal people are trying to sell at a decent and bearable price that not only have thee most beautiful sound, but date back to the early 1900s. There was one that was even farther back but it was pricey. All of them are refurbished with new cords and and new stuff to make them work and make them look new. The only thing you have to be prepared for is the shipping cost, it takes money to move one of those pianos. Especially from this website where it was in Canada. But if you can get an 8ft grand piano dating back to 1958 under 20,000 dollars, then it should be worth whatever the shipping is.

That depends on the type of piano. Try being more specific. A grand piano, or a mini grand piano can cost thousands. A upright piano can stay in the hundreds, but the uprights are so heavy they can break your floor.

how much money is a Grand Piano?

^^^^ what kind of an answer is that???

Normally, the cost of building a piano a piano is about 20-40% of it's actual sale price, for Piano's made by companies like Roland or Yamaha, as for the others, I'm not entirerly sure, but I do that that the make a minimum of about 30% profit, which would be about...

Cost of Buying a Piano (random) = £30,000

Cost of Making a Piano (30%) = £9,000

Overall Profit of the sale (subtracting the cost of making another one) = £12,000

Then the company has to go and pay the workers, tax, bills and the rest of it, and they're left with about £3000-5000. If you're bored don't read the next bit...

So over the course of a year, big piano companies look something like this:

They Make about 500 Piano's = £4,500,000

They Sell about 400 Piano's = £12,000,000

They have to pay for enployment and such like = £2,300,000

So, overall...

They Spend £6,700,000

They Make £10,000,000

Don't ask how it works, but bascially the enployment adds onto the spent AND subtracts from what they make.

PM me if you need anything else, ok?

Angel.

I have a normal piano and it was like 2 or 3 grand. So a grand piano would probably cost 4 or 5 grand.

............................This is unbelievably off base.... The cost of a grand piano can range from six or seven thousand dollars to tens of thousands of dollars, and maybe more. The most expensive grand ever sold was auctioned off at 1.2 million.
