A Gibson's serial number is on the back of the headstock.
The date of acutal release is unknown but Les Paul Gibson "Gibson SG was released in 1961. Replacing his original guitar that was introduced to the public in 1954. The SG in the newly released guitar in 1961 was known for "Solid Guitar"
It seems that the Arbour Series LW400N Hohner Acoustic Guitar was made for the UK market, they stopped that particular model in 1985 so could date from 1980 to 1985, I have one and at this date ( 25 June 2014 ) it is about 29 years old or maybe slightly older, and still sounds and looks great!
While I don't have much info for you, I can tell you I have the same model guitar, however it is straight acoustic. Mine has a date stamped on the inside of March 20th 1979. I have seen a goodwill auction with this specific guitar close at $141.00. This is the link to that auction. http://www.shopgoodwill.com/auctions/Gilbert-Guitar-LargeBodySteelString-LuckyBuckNR-5119989.html

This is not known. It can only be traced back to the 15th century.
The acoustic guitar wasn't "Invented" at any particular date but rather evolved into several different types (Classical,Spanish etc.) from other stringed instruments like the Lute and Banjo.

As of this date, June 27, 2010, David owns a 1941 Martin D-18 Guitar. However, the guitar is now up for auction since he recently experienced a sudden and unexpected loss of hearing.
I would strongly advise you not to go out with a guitar :)

interesting fact he didn't invent it , he designed the les paul which is the most popular guitar for whatever reason as on todays standards gibson is obsolete. in 1931 an American man by the name George Beauchamp created the first electric guitar in California for the company Rickenbacker and has the patent for it.
no they use more up to date electric guitars
no he was married from 1980-2011
It was invented in 2005.
