I get the error err -5000 in iTunes when trying to buy songs?

I am answering my own question. I solved it by checking permissions on my music folder. Once I granted the intended user specific permissions of this folder life was good. **This is another person w/ the same problem on the surface but different. I had to go into preferences and change where my iTunes music library is located; it was set to E: for some reason instead of the correct folder. I browsed, found the right one, and now everything works- podcasts and downloading from the store.
