Adam attended 5 weeks of college and then decided his career would best be developed by actually singing for a living. His first job was on a cruise ship, then touring Europe in musical Hair. He continued to do musical theatre and work at clubs at night (ie Upright Cabaret) until American Idol....and the rest is history.
