Yes.
I purchased the CVN-600 and the quality of the violin is much higher than what I expected for this price range. It has a real inlaid purfling and the wood use is beautiful; it is highly flamed on the back and side panel. The only advice I have is to be cautious setting the bridge, I would recommend to seek a technician to install the bridge or ask for help from your instructor or a luthier. I also changed the string from the economy strings on it to a dominant brand and this really brings out the true sound of the violin.
No.
Cecilio violins are Chinese-made objects that resemble violins. All of the "ebony" pieces are made of molded plastic. The hand-applied oil vanish is a thick coat of synthetic furniture varnish. The flames are crude drawing/painting strokes on the back and the neck. The bridge is not fitted and is the wrong type of wood. If you change the strings, pegs, tail piece, fine tuner and bridge, it may sound similar to a $100 student violin. Don't waste your money and time. Buy a Suzuki instead, or another of the cheaper brands.
There ok but there not the best violin, You should try it out before you buy it.
I think Gliga, Cecilio are good for the money. If you don't have a budget, an Antonio Stadaverus (did i spell that right?) copy is the best.
A Mendini by Cecilio baritone or euphonium is a good student instrument. Meaning it is a good instrument if you are just looking for one to play in a middle or high school band and do not plan on playing it in college. You can get a Cecilio euphonium for as little as $340 brand new so they would be very good for someone that is planning on playing in school but not professionally. If you are planing on being a professional or going to play in college you probably want to wait and buy a really good compensating euphonium with a brand name like Besson; but they will cost around $6,000 - $7,000 brand new and around $3,000 for one that a couple years old.
Generally, student violins are not bought based upon the brand, but by the maker of the violin. Any violin that one buys that is less than roughly 250 USD is not going to be of very good quality. If you buy a violin online, you might have to get the bridge completely readjusted (just for your information). It would be much better to go to a music store or a violin shop and see if you can get a nice violin for a reasonable price instead of buying a violin online.
She has a A. Stradivari violin made in 1696.

Not especially. It might get the job done for marching band, but definitely not for concert settings.
