Yes and no. Madonna was born and raised in Michigan, and as a popular performer, she toured all over the world. But in 2000, her life (and her residence) changed when she married British film-maker Guy Richie. She moved to England, and lived there during much of their marriage. But while she loved the British countryside, she later told reporters that she never felt at home in her adopted country. After she got divorced in 2008, she returned to living full-time in the United States, mostly in New York City.
