No. Coffee is the berry of the coffee tree (Rubiaceae Ixoroideae Coffeeae Coffea--there are roughly 125 known species of coffee plant) or the beverage made from it. It is not a form of animal life, and only animal life can be "racist."

Consider for a moment the word "racist."

Racist is a pejorative term used to denote a person who (according to several dictionaries) holds the belief that there are taxonomic classifications that account for differences among people based on genetic or ethnic similarities, or shared cultural or national factors, and that this difference inherently makes one "race" superior to any or all others.

The terms Racist and Racism rise as nouns from the arbitrary term Race. The term race has come to mean a group of people who share geographic, cultural, or national association. It has no scientific meaning at all and is completely arbitrary.

In actuality, racist behavior or racism is the common and natural predilection of all animal life forms to recognize differences of another animal life form within its midst. This is an adaptation and expression of survival instinct; nothing more.

While it is socially and in some cases legally unacceptable for one to behave negatively to another based on ethnic, or cultural differences, it is inaccurate to label one a racist--that is of course unless all are considered racist in perception. Oddly enough, to label another as a racist, is an expression of that very label, an example of the "pot calling the kettle black." (no pun intended)

Coffee plants having no cognitive ability, nor perception is not capable of so called racist activity.
