The short answer is yes, Crafter Guitars are good guitars. What I can tell you is that you want to look at the basic appointments to make sure you get a good guitar. Just like a Martin, Guild, or Taylor; Crafter guitars that have solid tops, L.R. Baggs electronics and grover tuners are excellent guitars. I have several acoustic guitars and I have to say that playability and tone I get with my Crafter guitars is second to none. So, if you don't mind a lesser known (in the USA only, even Harrod's stocks these!) guitar then a Crafter is the right choice for you. The absolute best thing to do is go to a dealer who has other well known brands and play them side by side and make a choice on your own.

Epiphone is the brand/manufacturer of the guitar. Chances are pretty good it looks a lot like a guitar with 'Gibson' on it, but it cost a lot less.
