The program dosen't leave viruses, the people uploading music are the ones infecting your computer. You're basically getting free music from total strangers, and they probably have infected it with a virus.

As most people know, you cannot and will not get a virus from downloading the frostwire software; however, torrents work like this: say you download just 1 song from frostwire, the software will take a second of the song you downloaded from 100 different computers and combine them into the entire song on your computer. So, you are downloading music from possibly hundreds of computers at once, one of which can carry a virus onto your computer if the song you are downloading from them is infected and your virus protection doesn't pick it up.

SO to answer your question, YES you can download a harmful virus onto your computer from frostwire. Yes iTunes is expensive, but it's not worth getting a virus downloading from frostwire. I personally have had my debit card hacked from a similar site...it's very dangerous with lots of cyber criminals out there so be careful.

Any of these downloading progs can put viruses on your computer especially through the Gnutella P2P Program network. Very dangerous and illegal.
