∙ 13y agoGrunge and screamo are completely different while odly alike. Grunge starts in the 80's with Nirvana, Mudhoney, Soundgarden, etc. and they have some early screamo-ish elements, but not like the hardcore screaming you hear in today's music. More yelling than screaming I'd say.
