In my opinion yes. 50 years ago you needed real talent to become famous. now it seems to be really easy especially if you think about Paris Hilton and Jordan. they haven't done anything spectacular at all. I'm not even sure why i know there names.
Even in terms of music you don't need skill to become famous you just need to follow the simple pop formula. You dont need a good voice you just need a box that can auto tune the crap out of your voice.
