You play a G below the staff on the trumpet with the fingering 1 and 3, loosen the jaw if you are having trouble reaching it.
High G uses an open fingering.
valve 2 and 3 at the same time.
If using a B-flat trumpet, to play Taps in G, hold down the 1st and 2nd valves the whole time.
the lowest note on a trumpet is an f sharp, but pedal tones can go lower. there is really no limit to how high a trumpet can play because there are mouthpieces that allow you to play higher. Also the piccolo trumpet and trumpets of other keys allow you to play much higher than possible of the Bb trumpet.

You can play alot of notes! they range from like a really low g to really high c that is 2 lines above the staff. i know this b/c i play the trumpet and take lessons.
On a standard Bb trumpet the fingering for a high G is open. An alternate fingering is 13.
All open
the first notes are C C G G
two and three
open valve, fast air
Well, many or most of the notes are similar, although they will be in different "places," or valve placements, since the trumpets are in different "keys." What this means is that a "G" trumpet will play a "G" note when no fingering is used, and a "B" trumpet a "B" note.

Both c notes - high and low are played without pushing any valves down!! :) just hold the trumpet, buzz your lips and make a noise and you are probably playing a c, just dont try to play too high or you might be playing a g. so GOOD LUCK!
