Is rush a really good band?

The words "classic rock" often refer to Rock Music that comes from the 60s or 70s (or even 80s) but still sounds good today. There are radio stations that specialize in this kind of music, playing artists like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and yes, some songs by Rush. However, it should be noted that even though Rush first became popular in the mid-1970s, they continue to perform and continue to create new music; so, a number of album rock stations play their music too.

That is, of course, a matter of taste, but they have fans all over the world and have had a successful forty year career which includes being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They continue to put out new music, and their concert tours are quite impressive. (Disclaimer: I've been friends with them for many years, so I might not be entirely objective; but I do believe they are one of the best rock bands.)

Fans of Rush would tell you there are many reasons why the band is awesome. For one, they would say that Neil Peart is the best rock drummer in music today. Fans would also say that the members of Rush have an amazing chemistry and the ability to create new and thought-provoking music year after year. Rush's live concert performances are outstanding, and throughout a forty-plus year career, Rush has continued to inspire and impress the fans.
