E.F. Durand isnt a bad company but not a good company. Their Musical Instruments are more for a cheap buy. I bought an E.F. Durand Bb rotary valve cornet but it doesnt seem bad. It looks kind of cheap so it may dent easily but other than that it plays just fine. I would say they are a so so company not bad but not the best.
yes highly recommended
he plays trumpet and i know this. i am a really good trumpet player myself.
It's a cheap instrument, not a good value. Look for King, Bach, Getzen or Olds trumpets. They are great in quality, especially the vintage ones.
It's fun as a novelty, but not for a primary instrument.
That question can't be answered without knowing more information. What model is it? How old is it? What kind of shape is it in? Do all the valves and slides work? The 2023 is an old version of the student Yamaha trumpet. An example of this instrument complete with case in good repair sold for $199 in Dec 2012.
Thomann trumpets are made in China. Anything from China is a gamble, sometimes they are reasonable sometimes not. but for a trumpet that costs around $200 do you expect a quality instrument? You would be better off saving more cash and getting a Yamaha student horn or purchasing a better quality trumpet second hand. Check out your local music shop and try the instruments they have in person rather than purchasing an instrument as personal as a trumpet online without testing it.
Trumpet, or A Tuba.

I'm assuming Musical instrument. Take a old garden hose and put a funnel on the end, you get a trumpet. The longer the hose is the lower the instrument will be.
An instrument (such as a trumpet) supplied to you (by the school) for you to learn on. When you leave the school the instrument will be given to some new school pupil. If you are good at music, someone may purchase you your own instrument. This would be a "privately owned instrument" and will be yours after you leave school.

The reviews on this student level quality trumpet are quite good with it scoring 3.5 to 4 out of 5 on the majority of websites I have looked at. Remember tho it is only a student instrument and only good for starting up on to see if you want to continue. Mass produced in China it suffers from tonality issues. I suggest you take a look at the reviews on Amazon for it to get a better picture.
Quote: "The Bach Stradivarius 18037 Lacquer Professional Bb Trumpet is the preferred instrument of most professional players. The Bach Strad trumpet's standard weight body and bell, and standard construction #25 mouthpipe bring depth and color of sound, coupled with the even intonation and response to this instrument. The 18037 Strad Bb Trumpet is one of the most popular of all Bach trumpets for good all-around playing." from: http://www.bizrate.com/orchestral-instruments/bach-180-37-stradivarius-bb-trumpet--pid590421863/
It was made by Selmer and is a Strad 37 clone but with a two piece bell. It was the intermediate below the Bach Strad but you cant really comment on a trumpet unless you can play it. Quality wise it was a well made instrument. The sound was a bit brighter than the Strad. A good student step up instrument.
At $2000+ you would hope so. They are made in the accent factory in Germany so they are not cheap China clones. The style of the instrument is that of a Bach Strad copy. The price range puts them in the professional market, and a friend who plays one says they can't be beaten. But then every trumpet player says that about his favourite instrument.
