if its turning over but not firing make sure you have the right firing order, i had that happen to me onve, i replaced everything and then turned out i had two cylinders backwards
Hi have the same trouble with mine been told to replace the Dist Module also known as halleffect sensor Hope this helps Mike
Trouble code P0302 means: Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected Try replacing the plugs and wires
I own a 2006 3.7L grand Cherokee and my tune up consists of spark pug replacements (6) for me, differential fluid change, ATF fluid change (no flush), and PCV. If you have a transfer case you will need to change that as well. good luck!
first try changing the plugs and wires along with the distributor. if this doesn't work try a cleaning or changing the carb.
make sure your wires are correct from the distributor or you will never start
possibly bad spark plugs ,wires,or a bad cap n rotor
If the old plugs and wires were bad I would expect the engine to start and run better.
I think you mean cap and rotor, those are ignition parts, the distributor cap sends the spark out to the plugs, it has wires leading from the top to the spark plugs, the rotor goes inside the cap, and rotates around delivering the spark to the wires in a timed sequence.
Check plug wires, plugs then injectors. Distributor cap could also be the culprit, if you haven't done so lately you should get a new cap, rotor, wires and plugs, your Jeep will thank you.
check your crank position sensor.
Plugs, Wires, Cap, Rotor, the ignition coil, Air Filter, Fuel Filter
My bet it is the spark plug wires or spark plugs or rotor cap if it has one. If the wires are going bad, they are worse "under load" (while driving).
check your timing
Bad plugs and or wires.
did you check the direction of the fuel filter before installing?
Coil and/or distributor probably wet Plugs and plug wires probably wet
Could be a variety of things. What kind of load towing or electrical? check fuel/ fuel quality, Timing, spark plugs wires cap rotor,if electical could be battery or alternator
