The first act of wireless telegraphy took place August 14, 1894. The first radio receiver was official built in 1895.
With his newly created Tesla coils, the inventor soon discovered that he could transmit and receive powerful radio signals when they were tuned to resonate at the same frequency. When a coil is tuned to a signal of a particular frequency, it literally magnifies the incoming electrical energy through resonant action. By early 1895, Tesla was ready to transmit a signal 50 miles to West Point, New York.
Marconi was from a privileged place in society and did not face many of the struggles that others would have. He did have some difficulty obtaining financial backing for some of his earliest endeavours. He also had to engage in the efforts required to demonstrate that his equipment was actually capable of long-distance communication. Please see the link.
Guglielmo Marconi was one of the first to develop commercial workable radio communication. He sent and received his first radio signal in Italy in 1895. Some believe that Nikola Tesla (or others) invented it. See the related links area if you are interested in reading about the controversy and the different patents that were granted.
It was first performed in 1892, however, I am not sure what year it takes place.
Guglielmo Marconi first sent radio waves across the Atlantic from Poldhu, Cornwall on 12 December 1901 . The message was received at signal Hill, St John's, Newfoundland, having travelled a distance of 2,200 miles.

Ireland is on the east side of the Atlantic Ocean. Most of Ireland's weather comes across the Atlantic, so there is a lot of moisture brought towards Ireland and Europe generally. Ireland is a large island and the first large piece of land that weather coming across the north Atlantic, so it is the first place that the rain will fall. All of these things mean that Ireland gets a lot of rain at any time of the year, including the summer.
According to wikipedia, although reports of Marconi's performance at school are mixed he was eventually educated in the laboratory of physicist August Righi of Balogna, Italy, then in Florence at the Instituto Cavallero and finally at Livorno.
you spell Cadillac in French. The noun Cadillac crossed the Atlantic, but is French in the first place.
Marconi is credited with creating transmission instruments that were used to communicate over long distances. He established a wireless transmitting station in 1901 and in 1902 he set sail on the SS Philadelphia, sailing west from England. It is claimed that Marconi's invention played a vital role in rescuing survivors from the Titanic. In 1909, Marconi was awarded a nobel prize and holds a place in the National Broadcasters Hall of Fame and the Radio Hall of Fame.
yes cause it has the word atlantic in it :)
Liverpool is on a direct ferry route from Ireland, thus lots of Irish people ended up there. It's the same reason that so many Irish ended up in New York, it's the first place they came to across the Atlantic.
