The first act of wireless telegraphy took place August 14, 1894. The first radio receiver was official built in 1895.
Nikola Tesla did not invent the radio. The invention of the radio is credited to Guglielmo Marconi, who successfully transmitted radio signals across the Atlantic Ocean in 1901. Tesla did work on wireless communication and had patents related to radio technology, but his contributions were not directly responsible for the invention of the radio as we know it today. Tesla's work focused more on alternating current (AC) electricity and wireless power transmission.
Marconi was from a privileged place in society and did not face many of the struggles that others would have. He did have some difficulty obtaining financial backing for some of his earliest endeavours. He also had to engage in the efforts required to demonstrate that his equipment was actually capable of long-distance communication. Please see the link.
Guglielmo Marconi was one of the first to develop commercial workable radio communication. He sent and received his first radio signal in Italy in 1895. Some believe that Nikola Tesla (or others) invented it. See the related links area if you are interested in reading about the controversy and the different patents that were granted.
It was first performed in 1892, however, I am not sure what year it takes place.

All of these things mean that Ireland gets a lot of rain at any time of the year, including the summer.
According to wikipedia, although reports of Marconi's performance at school are mixed he was eventually educated in the laboratory of physicist August Righi of Balogna, Italy, then in Florence at the Instituto Cavallero and finally at Livorno.

Marconi is credited with creating transmission instruments that were used to communicate over long distances. He established a wireless transmitting station in 1901 and in 1902 he set sail on the SS Philadelphia, sailing west from England. It is claimed that Marconi's invention played a vital role in rescuing survivors from the Titanic. In 1909, Marconi was awarded a nobel prize and holds a place in the National Broadcasters Hall of Fame and the Radio Hall of Fame.
