The sweet child o mine bass is mainly at the the start with the bass solo, then comes a bit later after that with a little beat. It can be learnt off YouTube, or you could get a bass teacher to learn that. In the rest of the song, you can't really hear the bass by itself except if you listen in the vocals gaps. That is probably playing alongside the electric guitar using the guitar chords for notes, which are D C G D for the verse and A C D for the chorus. If you want to learn any more about the Nass, you should ask a professional bassist, guitarist or musician. Also the bass is done by DUFF McKAGAN
slash learnt to play guitar when he and his freind, steven adler wanted to start a band and they decided that slash was going to play bass and steven was going to play lead guitar. so slash started to go to bass lessons and he had to borrow the bass teachers bass for a while. then the bass teacher told him to get a bass of his own, so slash's grandmother gave him an old classical acoustic guitar with one string, so his bass teacher told him to get the other five strings so he could teach him guitar
Because of music theory. The bass guitar is played in the bass clef.
I think you should play bass first. It is a slower part and is easier for beginners. I think you should learn guitar first before playing the bass one. I think you should learn how to play guitar first because you at least will know the notes and know how to plaY A little. They're both guitars but can be played differently. If you like the funkyness or the low tone of the bass, go for it. Its a little difficult than guitar since theres different ways to play it, but if you want to shred and have fun the E. Guitar, go for that. Its up to you. You say you want to learn to play the bass, so learn bass first.

Guitar and bass are very similar. They both have a similar build and use basically the same overall technique, with many nuance differences. The guitar has six strings, and the bass has four. The four strings on a bass are the same as the four lowest sounding strings on a guitar. The biggest differences between the two are that the guitar uses chords and scales, whereas the bass uses mostly just scales, and the guitar has two more strings than a bass. Since the guitar uses chords and has two more strings, it is a little bit trickier to learn than the bass. Therefor, if you know guitar fairly well, you should be able to play bass without ever taking a lesson, whereas if you know bass fairly well, it will be a little bit more effort to learn the guitar.

Frets are marked on the bass guitar the same way as they are on the electric guitar or acoustic guitar. Metal lines run across the neck. If you're talking about a fretless bass then you shouldn't have to ask this question. It would be a big mistake to try learn the fretless bass before the standard bass. The frets are in the same positions but you should instinctively know where your fingers should be before advancing to fretless
You probably should because you might start playing bass like a guitar player
For sure when it comes to guitar or bass (I play both), the pentatonic scale is best to learn. It is pretty simple too. In my opinion i would just look it up on google "pentatonic scale bass" and that should to the trick

The bass is easier to learn owing to the fact that it often doesn't play chords, only single notes to keep rhythem.
