My name is Alan G. Lockwood. I was a Booker with an agency in Kings Lynn called Atkinson Barrie who managed the Tea Time Four. Bernie Rudd was the lead guiar, Fats Dean was bass Rocky ? was the drummer. The group were the most popular for close harmony vocals. I remember having booked dates for them for 30 consecutive days, we would go in on a percentage against £25 and come away with nearer £100 such was their popularity and drawing power in those days. They were booked on the P.J. Proby tour which was cancelled because of the torn trousers episode and had all theri gear stolen from outside the Madason Hotel Bayswater Road where all the 60's touring bands stayed.

Boz was a magnet for the girls, was then and no doubt remained so until the end. A great even natured lad. I lost touch after the middle 60's when I also moved to London and became a Booker with the Gunnell Brothers and work as the personal tour manager with the Small Faces. It was his connection with Ian McLagan that resulted in me seeing Boz many times in those days.

He was always destined for great things but it was just a question of whether he would make the most of his talent, more as a singer than a guitarist, but it goes to show, you can never tell. Rest in peace lad from you old buddy Al.
